Nexgen Japan, Fujitex and Selfit Join Forces on an SCM Management Diagnostic and a CLO Dashboard for Japan's Revised Logistics Efficiency Act

Nexgen Japan, Fujitex and Selfit have formed an alliance and begun a proof of concept (PoC) to diagnose and improve companies' supply chain management. They will develop synCLO, a dashboard for Chief Logistics Officers that tracks waiting times, loading and unloading times and load factors, which designated shippers must now monitor, alongside an AI-driven SCM management diagnostic. With a Logistics DX Assessment due to start in December 2026, they are inviting companies to join the PoC.

Ariki Ono, chief executive of Nexgen Japan, told the National Logistics Convention 2026, hosted by the Japan Institute of Logistics Systems (JILS) on 6 October, that logistics is a rare function that can both raise ROIC and lower WACC. In Nexgen View we argue that the amended Logistics Efficiency Act has put logistics on the management agenda, that the Tokyo Stock Exchange's 2023 request has given it a yardstick, and that companies which only cut costs risk falling behind.
